All resident tags are $20 ... unlimited number may be purchased for the "rifle" season, but in reality all tags after the first one are for the "second, concurrent season" and can be used in ANY season, within the bounds stated for unit and sex/species on the tag ... archery, rifle or muzzleloader ... ANY legal weapon can be used in the "rifle" season -- handgun, mzl, rifle, shotgun (slugs only) or bow --
(The bow season is "any species/sex/age" for residents, and for NRs there are some units where Muley bucks can NOT be taken, unless a special "any deer" license wuz purchased back in March or so ... otherwise, archery is statewide, for mostly any deer ... and ... our bow season is the longest one in the USofA ... two or three days longer than Ohio, last time I checked ... whut this means is that y'all could get a "second" (or more) tag (doe only) and use it along with your regular bow license WITH WHICH YOU COULD SHOOT A NICE WHITETAIL BUCK, and take home one (or more) "antlerless" deer as well ... from September thru early January ... )
NR tags start @ $200 plus $15 for the certificate and stamp, then it's $200 for each ... EXCEPT ... AFTER we get to this part of the year, when they've still got about 30,000 tags left (all doe tags), NRs can get 'em for $50 each ... at least that's how they've done it for the past several years, and with all the tags to issue (in order to reduce the herd populations to "goal/target" levels in several/many units), I'm fairly sure it's the same this year ...
Some areas have farmers/ranchers who WANT hunters to come in and shoot does, and the G&F will connect hunters with 'em, then each person does the contact and arrangement work on their own ... plenty of opportunity to take home a lot of venison, here in Nodak ...
