Dad gets his biggest bowkill!

Last Friday my Dad had a nice 8pt at 40yds. He was in the woods and only had a small hole to shoot through. This was the first time this particular buck, whom he had seen multiple times, was finally in range. The deer stepped into the open and started feeding direclty away from him. My Dad hit the grunt a few times to no avail. Big boy just walked away AGAIN and disappeared into a cedar thicket! Two minutes later a decent 5pt walked within 20yds and stopped broad side. Dad decided to let him walk. The deer went about 40 yds, stopped and turned around, still looking for the source of the grunt call. When he came back into range at 15yds. Dad drilled him.
Saturday morning Dad is back in the same tree and watched the way the 8 pointer had come in. He heard a noise to his right and sees Big Boy coming out of the cedar thicket from the day before. This time at a fatal 35 yds. He ran about 4 and collapsed. The deer field dressed at 140 and he got 60lbs of meat. The inside spread is 18" and the G2's are 8.5". Has not estimated the green score. Will score it proper after the drying period.

That's just great! Congrats to your Dad.
