Cull Taken Out

Sat morning of opening day brought some very welcome temps. 48 deg when I climbed in my stand. Bout 7:15 I had one small 3in spike followed by one of the longhorn spikes I have been after for a couple yrs now. He made the fatal mistake of standing there too long at 16yds. Sent a Rage threw his cage and it was over. The young spike ran to the corner of my foodplot then turned around and came right back to corn. Could have shot him easily but he is this yrs deer and want to give him a chance. My wife sat Sat evening and had 4 bucks out in front of her at 6:30pm. One small spike, a forked horn, a 5pt (even though an off num,too small) and a decent 6pt. All of them were young deer and she opted not to take the 6pt as she was waiting for his daddy, the big 6. I give her credit for sticking to our game plan. So after 2 days of hunting, 6 bucks seen and not a single doe. Not good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good job taking out the cull. Thats the bad thing with the one buck rule here no one wants to use their only tag on a cull buck.
