Everything in that newspaper is true. They reproduce rapidly and will eat anything and everything. I shot a few while deer hunting in south Texas over the years and they are smart. Where there is any human activity you will only usually see them right at dark and daylight. I've seen them in all sizes and colors. My Dad and I have both shot boars that weighed close to 400#, but the best eating ones are those around 50#-75#. They are very lean and there is no better eating than putting one out on a spit or in the ground on hot coals for a few hours---yum-yum!!!

That is like the hogs around a lake in ks. They were hunt-able for 2 years and they are not now. KWLP is letting them grow and multiply BIG MISTAKE. Look at Texas!! they can't get a grip on them no matter what they do.

I am so looking to do another hog trip. I'm thinking of either FLA so I can visit mom and dad or Ga, so I can visit mom and dad. It seems no matter how old you get you can go home. Seriously I want to go on one soon...

Good article Steve ! Guess I will look into seeing if they allow us to hunt them yet and if any farmers are allowing hunters yet.

Yeah there's a few wild hawgs in the SE part of CO. It's my understanding the pig population is stable and only about 50-75 in total. It's also my understanding that hunting permission is very hard to get unless your're a local and known to the landowner. Hnter
