That's cool. He still may be a distant shirt tail relative of mine. I have found a distant relative of mine up in N.E BC that runs an outfitting service. He invitedme up for spring bear quite a few yrs ago but my schedule just did not allow it. Offered 2 Grizz for $1200.00 with the bow.  Can you say, "should have cleared my schedule"?

I could relay a bit of info about the family for you Gary, but it's actually easier if you go to the store webpage (scheels.com) and they've got a fair biography stuff there ...

After that, I'll leave any tracing of familial ties up to y'all ... I have trubble keepin' track of my own kinfolk, without tryin' to meddle in other folks' family trees ...

Well, there's about 23 stores in seven states ... and I've been in eight of 'em, in four states ... sorta partial to their general plan and product line, but that doesn't mean I avoid the other guys when time permits ... I like to see whut they've all got ... (there'll be a new one in KC some time in the future, anchor store for that big Texas family-deal water park outfit ... so, that's a bit closer for y'all, or mebbe if you're passin' thru ... whutever ... )

Only thing I'm not too impressed with for a couple of the competitors is that they don't take trades on firearms, so they don't have any "obscure" selections that one might only find by accident ... that's how I've acquired some of my favorites, second-hand stuff that's not made any more, but isn't really a "collector" or "antique" ... so I can still afford 'em ...
