Bear post have died - Monday, June 29, 2009 2:37 PM ( #1 )
Looks like most of the spring bear season have closed. The posting about bear have slowed way down. It is hard to tell when I will be able to go on another bear hunt. car

next spring I will pick up one of the limited number otc tags
most of the spring tags are by draw, tho

as for fall (actually begins in summer - Aug 1), all the tags are otc (no limit on tags available)
I've got some areas nearby that I'll be hunting - watching the berries and all!

orduckhunter I'm going to have to look you up after I move out west. Sounds like we could have some fun together.

Well it's fixin to get started again soon with the fall season just around the corner. I got my letter from the outfitter the other day for my Maine hunt, telling me what and what not to bring. Now I know it is getting closer and can't wait.  2 months from today, I'll be headed north. Anyone else planning a fall hunt?

Gee orduckhunter I just looked at the map. When I move to eastern Wy we are still 1300 miles apart. Not as close as I was hoping for.

when and where are you moving?  is it lined up, or still in the dreaming stage?
I've been wanting to move there, but things have not lined up for me, yet.

We are going out this fall to look for land. We are looking at the Newcastle-Moorcroft-Pine Haven area. My daughter has 3 more year of college and as soon as she is settled in her job and has her own place we are gone lol.

I'd like to move to the Sundance-Upton area - it's beautiful, and game rich

do you have work lined up, or will you be retired?

As far as I'm concerned, anywhere in the Black Hills would be great!  I would love to live there or somewhere in the foothills of the BigHorn Mountains!!!

Hopefully when we sell our business and home here in Ohio we will have enough $$ to buy land and build on and live off of what is left. At least that is the plan.
