Good luck in Maine. That was where I shot my first bear. I like bear hunting in Maine.

whitetail101,
I need to find out where you hunt for bears there in Pa. I hunted from Welsboro, Slade Run, "Pocono Mts" to Townada and have never seen any bears in the 400 range yet alone 600. Those few counties around there boast the lg'est pop in the state and most taken ea yr. Most of them run 150-200lbs and alot of cubs shot as well. I have never seen a 400 yet alone one that goes 600lbs.

I have to wait until Sept 7th for mine, hopefully. That will be the first day of my Maine hunt.

Are you counting down the day? Will you drive to Maine? Long haul lol

Bear baiting starts in 21 days up here in NW Minnesota. I already have 110 gallons of bear bait and still collecting. Bears have been spotted all over . Can't wait 38 days till I will be hugging a tree waiting for the big one!!!!

car,
You bet I'm counting days now. Yes, I am driving up there. I am stopping in Philly and picking up 4 more guys that are coming with me. 2 bro-in-laws, father-in-law and one of their friends. 3 of us will be hunting and 2 will be fishing. Good times all the way around.
