Bear hunting plans for 09

Ok I started this post for the 08 season and it went well. So I thought I would start it for this coming year.
 
I'm planning a spring bear hunt in BC. This will be my first time to BC. Looking forward to a great time. It would be nice to fill two tags while I'm there too.
 
So what are your plans?

So nobody is going bear hunting in 09?

Will be hunting 09 just as I did 08.
 
Two days of archery bear, followed by three days of rifle bear here in PA

I love bear hunting. I usually go to Saskatchewan but I opted out for a fall combo hunt in Newfoundland for Moose & Caribou this year. Unless of course I happen to win the contest otherwise I'll be waiting till 2010 for another bear adventure.

The freshest tracks still have feet in them.

2009 Bear plans Aug 15 start baiting maybe a week later this year and give it hell Sep 1 to get a big ol Northern Minnesota bruin down

hopefully winning the contestbut if not just hunt here inpa this year !went to maine last year and shot my first one with a gun now iwant to shoot one with my hoyt!

I too hunted Pa for bear season last yr. No luck, lots of snow. Stayed for the deer/extended season for bear and got a 9pt, dressed at 201lbs on opening morning. Again no bear. Off to Maine this Sept for bear, archery, but taking the smokepole along just in case Smokey don't cooperate. 

lining up bait & supplies already..... just waiting for word on ice out in April/May & back in there!

There's no doubt about it!  Hunting and fishing at your wilderness bear camp in Manitoba is a blast.  Folks, I've been on several bear hunts over the years and have yet to experience such a thrilling adventure.
 
I can't wait to get back up there and I know Mike, a.k.a., "Topgun 3006", is excited as well!  I know there will be tons of food to eat, a lot of laughs to go around and a lifetime of memories to take back home with us, not to mention the awesome fishing and bear hunting.  We're both looking forward to it, bud!

My hunt this yr is 1600 + 200 for the tags for a 6 day hunt. Most outfitters in Maine offer 6 day hunts but are actually only 5 days of hunting. Mine is a 6 day hunt. You can not hunt on Sundays in Maine.
