Bear Hunt with McKenzie Outfitters

Well, with only 40 days left until we depart, I officially posted the Online Hunt that will feature Talk Forum Member and winner of our Free Manitoba Bear Hunt Giveaway, Mike Stephenson aka "Topgun 3006" and me as we hunt trophy black bear in Manitoba, Canada with Monty McKenzie of McKenzie Outfitters. 
 
The Online Hunt entitled: Bowhunting Backcountry Bruins Part II will be featured on our Main Page, Online Hunt page and on the Talk Forums so that all of you will get a chance to hunt right along with Mike and me at bear camp.  The hunt will not be "live" due to the remoteness of the location, but I will provide a complete day-to-day synopsis of the hunt as it unfolds including pictures and text after we return.

I'll be looking for details on your hunt when you're back.
Hopefully, I'll have some success of my own to share with you by then, too.
(My spring bear hunt will be early May)

There is still about 30 to 38 inches of ice on the lakes and tons of snow, but the snow and ice are slowly melting with the warmer temps.  The bears are still tucked comfortably into their dens. 
 
Monty and I are constantly watching the temps.  The trend is for warmer weather to prevail so it should all be good by the time we are scheduled to fly in.

Good luck to you guys. Hope the weather breaks for ya. The Montana season starts tomorrow and we are supposed to get another up to 3' in the higher elevations. Thats on top of the 12' that is sitting there already. Don't think I'll see too many. I can't even get to my favorite spotss. Hunterdan, If you're checking this out, How are things over Bozeman way?

 What's y'all's forcast for the next few weeks in Manitoba? If Ma Nature has her way, it is still gonna be nasty. By the time you and Top get there the bugs and skeeters will be out in force just waiting on fresh meat.  LOL

More snow here today. Up to 3' in the high elev. with the northern part of the state getting hit pretty hard all the way across the state.

 Y'all just can't catch a break can ya. We are up to our asses in water down here. Got over 12in of the dam stuff in 24hrs. Sure glad it was not snow. I'd still be trying to dig my way out of the front door.
