That's cool weyyeager. I got a cousin back in Wis. that is real good at finding those. I've been meanning to go out and look for them here in Mt. but just can't seem to get the ambition for it. Fields are all seeded and starting to grow now. Nobody walks the fields here. Nobody even seems to know about that technique. They always say the field has been turned over too many times, you can't find anything out there. Makes my mouth water every time I here that. I live right where the Yellowstone and Stillwater rivers intersect. I know they traveled these rivers all the time. And the Crow used to winter right down the road from here. They used to camp on this huge ranch south of here. Only problem with that is the rancher won't let anyone on his ranch anymore. People used to find all kinds of stuff right on the surface.

probably 90 percent of mine came from fields. Although notill farming they dont turn over the fields as much. As far as finding them all never happen. They have been making them for 13,000 years. We have only been here a few hundred. Shallow creeks are a good place to look also erosion will wash them out.
