Archer sets three new world records

Archer Sets Three World Records On ‘Guinness Book’ Show

Nikon Pro staff member Randy Oitker of Plainville, Illinois, broke three archery world records recently while filming the television show "Guinness Book of World Records Smashed” in London, England.

According to a report on The Outdoor Wire, the 22-year-old exhibition archer simultaneously shot four arrows into four targets, five arrows into five targets and six arrows into six targets.

Oitker is an accomplished archer with 17 national titles, two world championships and three shooter-of-the-year titles, but says what he enjoys most is inspiring children to learn the sport.

"If I can inspire one kid to pick up a bow and go shooting or hunting, I have done my job," Oitker said.

"We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence, then, is not an act, but a habit."

That must have been quite a sight!

Pretty impressive, I have enough trouble just getting one to go where it's supposed to.

That was amazing. I, like Steve have troubles now and then of making 1 go where it is suppose to.

and, the balloon placement was spot on!

When I first heard about this I was wondering how he got 5 arrows with fletchings/vanes on and off a string accurately.  Now I see that he didn't have any on.  Still very cool.  Thanks for posting the video Martin!
