Another One Falls

Well, Another skinhead fell tonight. I had 5 walk directly under my treestand tonight about 5:30. They milled around a bit, ate some corn and sniffed some of the "Feeder Fire" and "Rut-N-Apples" I put out. There were 2 big fat does, 1 yearling and 2 small fawns. I picked out the biggest doe and let the hammer fall on my .50 cal. She ran about 40yds and fell over. I was quickly stuffing another load in as the rest of them jumped over my fence and stood there. I may have gotten another one if my ram rod would not have wacked my barrel. Once that happened, they took off. With alot of practice, I have been able to reload in about 15 sec's. LOL

Got another one tonight as well. This one I had plenty of time left in the stand, so I stayed put. By the time I got out, I heard the yote's growling and screaming. I got to her just in time too. They were all over it when I got to that downed deer. Thought it was gonna be a fight and the 15-20 sec reload would have been put to the test. My doe tags are all done now. I will sit with my wife next weekend and get her some if she shoots straight enough. I will of course have my smokepole along just in case "Mr. Big" decides to show himself. "Then the fight began". LMAO!!!!!!!!! And yes top, 15-20 sec's for a reload. Speed loaders and a fast ramrod are the key. LOL
