and, I'll probably chase muleys a little this year - though I'll also hunt blacktails I'm glad that archery tags are good for most of the whole state - it allows me that opportunity

That's a good deal, or' ... same here in Nodak ... a bow tag (for residents) is good for any species, sex or age deer ... and it's statewide (aside frum most refuges, and so on) ... there are even a few places where an archer can hunt inside city limits, becuz the deer population is gettin' outta hand, tho I don't bother with that part ... too difficult to even find the time to hunt local and regular, to add in the burden of a permit in Fargo, Bismarck or them others ... Ackshully, a NR tag is good for almost any deer, anyplace, too ... exception bein' for Muleys in certain units in the SW part of the state ... tho I think we're on the edge of that restricted segment of the units ... I know my grandkids can hunt Muley bucks (with a rifle) in the Youth season south of the highway (ND 200) where we live, but not north of that road ... sorta odd, but that's the lines they decided to use ...
