A couple more thots I neglected to mention ...

Firstly, I wanna really thank y'all a LOT, for puttin' up with my overt enthusiasm about huntin' mooses ... y'all are very tolerant, and I appreciate that ... I'll try to hold it down a bit, but that might take me a few days (weeks? months?) to get control of my excess attitude ...

Secondly ... in the phone calls I've already made to folks around "back home" to tell 'em of my good news, I've already had reports of five different moose sightings ... all different critters, no duplicates ... so ... the scouting network is already @ werk ... now, if they can manage to dab a loop on one of 'em and keep 'em there until October ... HAR! ... Eh?

Good hunting for that Cow. I'm looking forward to my fall Moose/Caribou hunt.
The freshest tracks still have feet in them.

I know it's still early but I'll be heading to the range shortly to start sighting in my rifle in anticipation of my Fall hunt. I figure you just can't get enough practice especially when some of the shots may be better than 200 yards. Those mountain top bogs in Newfoundland are huge.

Ooooh Yeah after 15 years of applications I drew out for a Moose in Utah. Shiras are not so big, but I'm still excited. It's a 300,000 acre ranch where I do some part time work, and tags are very limited. I hope the ones I saw last year are still around! Saw one 45 incher through the trees I'll see if I can get a pic for this post!!!
The first 40" mule deer I see .... Closest too the road!
This year - First 50 inch Shiras Moose I see ..... Clossest to the road!

Just got the results of my moose and bighorn tags. Didn't really have time for them this year anyway. Got too many people coming out hunting elk, deer, and goats.

I'd guess that if you drew the tags, you would have made the time - you'd HAVE to!
