Randy and Greta Stewart, owners of Cross J Ranch, welcome you to join them at their comfortable working cattle ranch on your next hunting adventure! Located 23 miles northwest of O'Neill, Nebraska, the Cross J is a five-generation, family-owned ranch, homesteaded in the 1800s.
The Cross J offers fantastic wild turkey hunts for shot gunners and archery enthusiasts, and fair-chase deer hunting packages in a relaxing country atmosphere. Rifle, black powder and archery deer hunters are all welcome.
The Cross J Ranch is spread out over 4000 acres in northern Holt county. It is comprised of rolling hills, meadows, wooded canyons, established shelter belts and native prairie grass that border corn and alfalfa fields. Live streams and 6 man-made ponds scattered throughout the ranch, along with natural springs and streams create lush habitat for wildlife and abundant fishing for guests! Hunting is done by blinds that are provided by the Cross J.
Visitors may see white-tailed or mule deer stroll through the ranch yard or hear raccoons, coyotes and even bobcats at night. Game birds include turkey, prairie chickens, dove and hundreds of varieties of song birds, along with rabbits, possums, skunks and badgers.
Guests are encouraged to arrive late in the afternoon on the day before the hunt to get acquainted, look around and have dinner with Randy and Greta.
